If executive coaching is right for royalty, it is right for us all

Over the holidays, I was tickled to read one commentator in The Times suggest that Prince Harry would benefit from Executive Coaching. I am not about to offer an opinion on HRH, but we can all do with a dose of self-awareness in life and business, which working with a coach can bring.

It is widely acknowledged that in today’s complex corporate world, leaders need a mindset to learn new skills. Training courses exist for everything from carbon accounting to AI. But where does a CEO, who is under daily pressure, go to recharge their sense of curiosity or find the energy to continue their own personal development?

They go to an executive coach.

As in many areas, the United States is well ahead when it comes to executive coaching. American studies suggest that between half and two-thirds of CEOs have worked with a coach.
